We are hiding in the dark, Terrified by the light of day. Ask now my love, You want to see just what went wrong. This death from above is not the worst thing left to come. Hate the disarray but tow the party line. Nothing left of this path we’ve made, The blood in the sand and the bones in our graves. Betrayed by the blood of a nation of dust, We are drowning in a sea of existential mistrust. And now we’ll see just who you are, We’ll see just what you’ll be, We’ll see beyond the bullshit and the grandstanding. But I can see that you are Praying for nothing, Begging for so much more. Waiting for salvation (salvation) Hoping for what we were And we will never be again. The lives we live under our halos We tell of darkened dreams fed by the storm below. So burn the pages from the lives that we’ve led, Sink into the sound, Rise from the dead. There’s nothing between us but distance and time. I see you’re rebuilding the life I’ve denied. I can’t believe this is what you’ve become. (chorus) I see you’ve earned your place, We’ll watch it all decay in this dream of names. (chorus)

Wolves 03:57
Vacantly I walked beside her, on the earth mine eyes were cast; swift and keen there came unto me, bitter memories of the past On me, like the rain in Autumn On dead leaves, cold and fast. So callously pulled apart for the sin of existing. So come on in, the water's fine. This trip, it's all to be human, this part of our bullshit lives. Have you ever seen them play, innocence on display just like animals, so throw them to the wolves. This is disaster, this is distraction, this is corruption, this great divide. This is how we fall, under electric light. So lead us from the forest, remove us from the dream. But follow us into the dark. Mad discordant harmonies, haunting us into the night. (chorus) A wiser man once said to me, "We are the purpose in calamity" We procreate our way across this land, but leave so little for our progeny. We face a crisis of existence; can we make it last? All the little broken pieces of the past. But this twisted tale of excess favours privilege undeserved while continuing the practice of applauding the stupid, and corrupt. (chorus) *excerpts of The Village Street by Edgar Allan Poe

There isn't much between this life and what is next, so look into the abyss and you'll see what is left, for us now. Hide behind your ignorance and hide behind your hate. There's so little time for disillusion in this race. So we all waste away the days, wanting more. but we're so wrapped up in this angst, that we adore. And here she goes down again. here she goes down, one last look before the end. So we lay here in the sand, crushed by the weight of what we don't understand. Time moves along, it seems without an end, so we hide away like lost and broken men. So we look to the future, we look to the dawn, damaged and broken; this path we're all on. Crumbling beneath our most tentative step. As the ground falls away, we're caught in this web of death and deception. We're shamed and alone, burdened by falsehood, the coin, and the throne. Betrayal conceived in lies and deceit; abandoned, extorted, we're left in the streets. Empty wallets and broken fucking homes. Our cried lost in the din of suburban drone. Let your anger loose in the night. Broken bodies, broken bones all outta site. So we look to the man on the hill, to save us from ourselves, to save us from the kill. We wear our ignorance like pride on our sleeves, to hide behind the bullshit, as stupid as we please.

The Pause 03:19
This one's for the disenchanted, this one's for the dead-end starts. this one's for the future rejects; the empty souls with the violent hearts. All we ask is purpose, a reason to exist. The smallest blip on the radar of existence. but we're in the midst of feeling lost and lonely, as it all crashes down. The breeders walk the path but all the rest seem nowhere bound. As isolation closes in the anger reappears. For ecery passing breath brings close the boiling point, the fear of: Nothing, Eternally. Flailing at the dark. Envy and exclusion, incentivised. Fake our story one more time. Just just one more life, just one more lie, fake the truth; the ties that bind. So is it too much? Or is it unclear? The basis of our progress is control over our fear. our fear of: Nothing, Eternally. Flailing at the dark. (chorus) This one's for the disenchanted, this one's for the dead-end starts. this one's for the future rejects; the empty souls with the violent hearts. For all those left behind by a world that doesn't give a shit about us, who we are and what we want, remember: There's more to life than this.

So set the world on fire, just to watch it burn. Lament the consequence, the significance of our loss. For the scale of misery, pain for tragedy, birth the travesty. Lain, lain to waste. Lay with the demons of fallacy, pageantry, apathy. Plains, dead and in flames. Tales from the Wasteland. This place that we once lived, is no longer our home. We're all left alone. There is no future but what we make. So set the world on fire, just to watch it burn. The world is our tomb, so we fuck in the gloom. Betrayer, the slayer of mankind. Deciever, death by design. And the bombs fell, as the earth died, and the bells tolled our death knell, as we burned alive. (chorus)
6.
“Bones” The hollow black-hearted have nothing to say, Nothing of value and nothing to trade. The pillars are broken, the structures unsafe, The temple is falling and none will be saved. So weep for a future undone in the past, Weep for a species that could never last. The folly of man masquerading as light, Shines on us all; lost souls in the night. So Wait Wait for the rain To come washing down and save us all. Let it burn The hate from our hearts as the flesh from our Bones. (Bones) in pine boxes push up through the earth, Digging and clawing and fighting in birth. As restless in death as we were in our skins, Clawing at bedrock, but still we dig in. There’s no way we burn, There’s no way we’ll learn. (Chorus) (Bones) cry out for compensation, Wasted on this flawed foundation Do you remember before it began? First there was nothing and then there was man. So then we took our first steps in the light, Forever tainted before we could fly. Everything I fear is so far away, Smashed into pieces till nothing remains. Here we all stand at the brink of our lives, Forever haunted behind these dead eyes. There’s no light, Only life. (Chorus) (Bones) cry out for compensation, Wasted on this flawed foundation. Broken minds without a reason, Nothing left but death or treason now.

Broken, hollow, with nothing left. The dark below calls us to the rest. It’s the fall of an empire to the ashes of time; Mountains into desert and us humans to slime. Fall on your sword, none give a shit. Broken is this house that we’re all living in. One will fall and another will take his place, This endless cycle of greed and disgrace. The wheels of progress have ground to a halt, But fuck our future, there’s cash in the vault. Cash in the fuckin vault. Enslave me for all I’ve become. Release me from all that I’ve done. We are crushed beneath the sins of our past. This disposable culture was not built to last. We are left behind, We are out time, We are living the forever lie. (Chorus) So play our fucking part and take your spot in line. Quiet now my child, there is nothing left inside. So play our fucking part and take your spot in line. Quiet now my child, there is nothing left inside.
